Isafjordur is a small but very attractive town placed in the rugged nature of the Westfjords of Iceland. Ísafjörður has quickly become the ultimate sea kayak spot in Iceland. That is because the shelter of the deep fjords, which provide relatively forgiving conditions to paddle. Of course the mesmerizing, awe inspiring landscapes found in the Westfjords do not spoil all the fun.

How to get to Ísafjörður and the Westfjords:
There are 2-3 flights per day from Reykjavik (only 40 minutes) and the airport is only about 5 minutes drive from the town center. The drive from Reykjavik is an unforgettable journey and would add an extra element to your stay in Iceland. It should take you around 5-6 hours in the summertime on paved roads almost all the way.
